The IRS has announced a new way for individuals to report tax noncompliance to its Whistleblower Office: a digital version of Form 211, Application for Award for Original Information. Digital submissions reduce transcription errors and costs and further the IRS's efforts to digitize paper forms. The Whistleblower Office said that it will continue to accept Forms 211 submitted by mail but encourages the use of the new electronic form. The IRS has paid over $1.4 billion in awards based on the successful collection of $7.86 billion from noncompliant taxpayers since 2007. For more information from the IRS: https://bit.ly/4qHoa2f
