The IRS is changing multilingual taxpayer services under Executive Order 14224. Non-English web pages now include a notice that English versions are the authoritative versions of federal information, and the IRS closed its non-English social media accounts. Non-English tax forms, instructions, letters and other compliance materials will remain available. But routine language support has been narrowed from 20 to seven languages: Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese and Haitian Creole. Translation, website and interpreter services will continue in these languages. Some mission-critical support remains available beyond these languages.
