Before you pay
Estimated payments, step by step.
- Use your payment instructions. Have your current estimate or voucher ready, including the amount, due date, taxpayer or entity, and tax year. Federal and state amounts and schedules may differ.
- Choose the correct agency and payment type. Use the IRS or state payment link above. For an estimate, choose the estimated-tax option and applicable form—not a prior-year balance or extension payment.
- Review before submitting. Confirm the tax year, identity, amount, payment date, and bank details on the official agency website. Follow that agency’s eligibility and verification instructions.
- Save the confirmation. Keep the receipt and check that the payment clears. Share confirmation with our team through your secure client channel so it can be included in your records.
Has your income changed?
A sale, bonus, business change, or investment gain can affect your estimates. Contact us before relying on an older payment schedule.
Ask about your estimated paymentsMaking a payment does not file your return. A filing extension generally does not extend the time to pay.
Payment walkthrough
A MyCPA video guide will be added here. Until then, follow the steps above or contact our team for help choosing the correct payment option.
